PBR Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner 2016

The event that launched our annual Thanksgiving tradition — Project Brotherhood Resolve’s second gathering, serving 40+ brothers and sisters in uniform, along with their families, with gratitude, support, and a mission to end homelessness and suicide. Held November 19, 2016 in Lapeer, MI — the feast that fueled our resolve.

Launched November 19, 2016 (4-6 PM) at the American Legion Post 16 in Lapeer, MI. Free for veterans (especially homeless/struggling) and families—no questions asked.

  • 4:00 PM: Doors open – Warm Welcomes & check-in
  • 4:15 PM: Short opening ceremony including prayer and setting of The Missing Man table
  • 4:30 PM: Feast begins — buffet-style
  • 6:00 PM Cleanup & Goodbyes — Hugs all around

We served our veterans our first PBR Thanksgiving meal. During our first Annual Thanksgiving Dinner, PBR served over 40 veterans and their families with the support of many volunteers.

#projectbrotherhoodresolve PBR Staff would love to thank all our volunteers, supporters, sponsors, anyone who helped us spread the word, Lapper County Press, and all who came out to our firs annual #veteransthanksgivingdinner, at the #AmericanLegionLapeer 

We proudly served over 40 veterans and their families on our first Thanksgiving event, we plan on making this an annual gathering.  The staff and volunteers were instrumental in organizing and serving our veteran community.
